CHAPTER 01 — THE ROOM

Small rooms. Serious teaching.

The Studio BE is a boutique yoga & Pilates studio in Houston, Texas — a premium mind-body experience built on one conviction: intimate class sizes make better practice. Every session comes with personalized guidance from Houston's top teachers, in spaces designed for focus rather than crowds.

Walk into any of the three Houston studios — River Oaks, the Heights, Montrose — and the first thing you notice is the scale. Rooms stay deliberately small. The teacher knows your name by the second visit, knows your tight left hip by the third, and adjusts your alignment without you having to ask. That is the whole product: attention you can't get in a forty-person flow class.

Six formats cover the full spectrum of movement. BE Flow is alignment-based vinyasa with intelligent sequencing, built for every body. BE Zen is deeply restorative yin — long-held postures that downshift the nervous system. BE Aerial takes the practice into the hammock: playful, strength-building, and more accessible than it looks. BE Reformer brings intentional full-body Pilates to the machine for strength, control, and flow. BE Sculpted is mat Pilates with a conditioning edge. BE Strength is progressive training with weights, coached rep by rep.

Beyond the weekly schedule, the studio runs retreats and teacher trainings throughout the year — for students ready to go deeper, whether toward teaching or simply toward a more serious personal practice. The through-line is always the same: considered spaces, serious teaching, and a schedule that meets real life, seven days a week.

New students usually start one of two ways: BE Flow if you want to move and breathe, BE Zen if you want to unwind. Arrive fifteen minutes early, mention it's your first class, and wear clothes you can move in — mats and props are provided. By the end of week one, most people have found their format. By the end of month one, they've found their teachers.

Questions

REAL ANSWERS · FROM THE STUDIO'S PUBLIC INFORMATION

How do I book a class?

Book online through thestudiobe.com — intimate class sizes mean reserving ahead is the reliable way in. Evening and weekend sessions fill first. If your class is full, call (832) 767-4542 about the waitlist.

I'm new. Where do I start?

Start with BE Flow or BE Zen — both are built for every body, including complete beginners. Arrive 15 minutes early, tell your teacher it's your first class, and you'll get setup help and modifications throughout. Mats and props are provided.

Which class should I try first?

Match the class to your goal: unwind → BE Zen; move and breathe → BE Flow; play in the air → BE Aerial; core precision → BE Reformer or BE Sculpted; build power → BE Strength. Many new students try one flow and one restorative class in week one to feel the range.

Where are you, and when are you open?

Three Houston studios: River Oaks (346) 618-1108, Heights (832) 767-4542, Montrose (713) 393-7411. Hours: Mon–Thu 6:00 AM–8:00 PM, Fri 7:15 AM–7:00 PM, Sat 8:30–11:30 AM, Sun 8:30 AM–6:00 PM.

How much does it cost?

Pricing varies by package — the sample cards above are illustrative only. For current rates and new-student offers, call (832) 767-4542 or email [email protected].
