LOA CONSTRUCTION — ROOFING · AUSTIN, TEXAS

Quietly good roofs, loudly honest about them.

We are a small roofing crew in Austin. We replace roofs, repair storm damage, and talk a surprising number of people out of work they do not need. This page is the long version of what we would tell you standing in your driveway: what your roof is made of, what Austin weather does to it, and what it costs to fix it right.

A roof in Austin fails from heat and water, not from old age. Everything we spec — underlayment, flashing, ventilation — is chosen against those two.

WHAT IT COSTS — SAMPLES, NOT QUOTES

Two ways to pay for a roof.

MOST HOMES

Architectural Shingles

$9,500 – $14,000 · SAMPLE

  • Full tear-off to the deck, new synthetic underlayment
  • Algae-resistant granules for shaded north slopes
  • New flashing at every wall, chimney & penetration
  • Ridge vent sized to your attic volume
  • One to two days, two magnet sweeps of the yard

Typical 2,000 sq ft Austin home. Steep pitches, extra layers, or decking repairs move the number — all of it in writing before we start.

THE LONG HAUL

Standing-Seam Metal

$19,000 – $28,000 · SAMPLE

  • 24- or 26-gauge panels, concealed fasteners
  • Kynar finish — holds color in Texas UV
  • Shrugs off hail better than any shingle
  • Reflects summer heat off the attic
  • The roof you buy once

Costs more up front, pays back in longevity and cooling. We will do the math with you honestly, including when shingles are the smarter buy.

REPAIRS — VALLEY / FLASHING / BOOT WORK TYPICALLY $450–$1,800 · SAMPLE · SEAMLESS GUTTERS $1,600–$3,200 · SAMPLE

March storm, bruised shingles invisible from the ground. Damage map with close-ups, adjuster met on the roof, full replacement approved without a supplement fight.

SPRING
JOB 02

Heat-curled slope, Cedar Park

South-facing slope cooked by ten summers. Kept the north side, replaced the south, reworked the ridge vent. Half the price of a full roof, all of the benefit.

SUMMER
JOB 03

Oak limb puncture, Pflugerville

One branch, three punctured shingles, one very worried homeowner. Patched, sealed, and photographed — a $600 · SAMPLE afternoon, not a $12,000 · SAMPLE roof.

FALL
JOB 04

Tile on stucco, Lakeway

Hill Country stucco wanted tile. Framing check first — it carried. New battens, new flashing, a roof that will outlive us all.

QUESTIONS WE ANSWER WEEKLY

How long does a replacement take?

Most single-family homes: one to two days. Steep or large roofs: three. We start early to beat the heat and we tarp everything worth protecting. It is loud for a day — pets and nap schedules should plan around it.
