ABOUT THE SHOP

We run First String Heating on one rule: give every customer the same level of service we would give our own grandmothers. Big-company responsiveness, small-town care. Every visit is a chance to explain what is actually wrong, what it will cost, and what we would do in your shoes.

08 TRADES — ONE SHOP

01

Furnace Repair

No-heat calls, strange noises, short cycling, pilot and ignition faults. We diagnose first, quote flat, and most repairs are done the same visit from a stocked truck.

→
02

AC Installation & Replacement

Right-sized central air systems for Colorado summers. We measure the house, size the load, and install clean — permits, line sets, and startup testing included.

→
03

Heat Pumps

One system that heats and cools. A strong fit for shoulder seasons along the Front Range; we will tell you straight whether your house is a good candidate.

→
04

Ductwork & Airflow

Hot and cold rooms are usually a duct problem, not an equipment problem. We test static pressure, seal leaks, and rebalance rooms that never feel right.

→
05

Indoor Air Quality

Media filters, humidifiers for dry Colorado winters, and ventilation that keeps air fresh without wasting heat. Comfort is health, not just temperature.

→
06

Thermostats & Controls

Smart thermostats wired and configured properly — setbacks that actually save money and staging that matches your equipment.

→
07

Maintenance Plans

Twice-yearly tune-ups: burners cleaned, coils checked, refrigerant verified, safety controls tested. Members get priority scheduling and repair discounts.

→
08

Emergency Service

Furnace out on a January night or AC dead in a July heat wave — call and a tech rolls. Nights, weekends, holidays.

EMERGENCY SERVICE

No heat? No cool?
Call (303) 250‑4422

Furnaces fail at 2 a.m. in January and ACs quit on the hottest Saturday of July. Our emergency line is answered around the clock — nights, weekends, holidays. If it cannot wait until morning, neither do we.

FAQ

How fast can you get to my house?

Same-day for most calls inside our service area, and 24/7 for no-heat / no-cool emergencies. When you call we give you a real arrival window — not a four-hour shrug — and the tech calls when on the way.

Do you work on my brand of furnace or AC?

Yes — we service all major residential brands. Most failures are universal parts (ignitors, capacitors, motors, control boards) that we stock on the truck regardless of the nameplate.

Should I repair or replace my system?

Repair if it is under ~12 years old and the fix costs less than half of replacement; replace if repairs are stacking up or efficiency is poor. We show you both numbers side by side and tell you what we would do in our own house.

What does a tune-up actually include?

A full safety and performance check: burners and flame sensor cleaned, heat exchanger inspected, coils and refrigerant checked, electrical tightened, thermostat calibrated. About an hour, and you get a written report of what we found.

Do you offer a maintenance plan?

Yes — twice-yearly visits (heating in fall, cooling in spring), priority scheduling, and a discount on repairs. Members skip the line during the first cold snap when everyone calls at once.
