Section 01 — The practice

Precision is a practice.

We teach one method: the yoga of B.K.S. Iyengar, to his standards. Precision before performance — every posture has an architecture, and we build it deliberately: feet, legs, pelvis, spine, breath. Postures are held long enough for the body to stop bracing and start listening. The cards below are windows onto a single word, because that is how the practice works too — one principle, seen through many doors. Wear fitted clothing so your teacher can see knees and spine, arrive fifteen minutes early, and borrow every prop from the wall; the studio provides them all.

Section 02 — Levels

One method, many doors.

Classes run every week, online and in person. Everyone begins in Foundations — no flexibility required, only curiosity. Continuing students take on seated poses, twists and first inversions; experienced students work longer holds, deeper backbends and advanced inversions, still governed by the same rule: alignment first. Gentle & restorative classes serve recovery, older students, and anyone returning after injury. Many sessions run hybrid — in the studio and on live stream at once — and classes are recorded to our on-demand library, so the practice never depends on your schedule.

Section 03 — Study beyond the studio

The mat is only the start.

A weekly class sustains a practice; immersion transforms it. Several times a year we host weekend workshops — our senior teachers and visiting teachers from around the Iyengar world, three hours to take one family of poses apart and rebuild it. We also take the practice on the road: retreats, announced first in the newsletter — they tend to fill from the returning list. And for serious students, our teacher development program teaches the other half of the method — how to see a body, sequence a class, and give a correction that lands. The monthly letter carries every date, plus notes from our teachers on the practice itself.

continues.
  1. i.Begin with Foundations. Check the weekly schedule and arrive fifteen minutes early. Borrow props from the wall; tell the teacher about any injuries.
  2. ii.Come twice a week. That is the honest minimum for the practice to take hold. Three times is where real change begins.
  3. iii.Join the newsletter. Workshop and retreat dates go out here first — and they tend to fill from the returning list.

The monthly letter

Workshop dates, retreat announcements, and notes from our teachers on the practice. One email a month, written by the studio — never shared, never sold. It is also where last-minute openings appear: a released workshop seat, an added Foundations section, a retreat room returned to the list. If you want the practice to fit a busy life, the letter is the way in.
