Woman practicing yoga at sunrise on a Miami beach
Fig. 01 — Saturday, 7:00a · Miami Beach

Yoga studio · Miami, FL

Yoga with Anamaria — taught slowly, on purpose.

I'm Anamaria. I teach private one-on-one yoga, small classes that never feel crowded, and a Saturday sunrise practice on the sand. Everything is experienced instructor-led, beginner-welcoming, and paced like a Miami morning: unhurried, sunlit, salt in the air.

A note before you scroll

"You don't need to be flexible to begin. You need a teacher who watches how you move — and the patience to learn one pose well."

Practice notes — from my teaching journal

Things I tell every student.

Note 01

"Breathe first, pose second."

If you're holding your breath, the pose is too much — back off until the breath flows again. The breath is the actual practice; the shapes are just where it happens.

Note 02

"Props are not cheating."

Blocks, straps and bolsters are tools, not training wheels. A block under your hand in triangle pose teaches your spine more than straining for the floor ever will.

Note 03

"Ten minutes beats zero."

A short daily practice — three sun salutations and five minutes of sitting — will change your body faster than one heroic two-hour session a month. Consistency is the whole secret.

Note 04

"Rest is a pose."

Savasana isn't the reward for surviving class; it's part of the practice. The nervous system integrates everything during rest. Don't skip it to check your phone.

Note 05

"Compare less, notice more."

The person next to you has a different body, a different history, a different Tuesday. The only useful comparison is you, last month. Keep a short practice journal and you'll see it.

A small thank-you for wandering

Asked often

I've never done yoga — where do I start? +

The Foundations course, a single private session, or Monday-morning Hatha. All three assume zero experience; just tell me it's your first time.

What should I bring? +

Water and clothes you can move in. Everything else — mat, blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets — is provided. Beach class: add a towel and sunscreen.

How do I book and cancel? +

Call or text (555) 010-2030. Group classes: book up to two weeks ahead, cancel four hours before for full credit. Privates need twenty-four hours' notice.

What if Saturday's beach class is rained out? +

I text everyone booked by 6:00a. Lightning or heavy rain moves the flow to the studio; light warm rain and we practice on the sand anyway.

Do you teach in Spanish? +

Classes are taught in English with Spanish cueing whenever anyone prefers it; private sessions can be fully in Spanish.
