01 · The practice

Move slow.
Breathe deep.

I'm Anamaria. I teach yoga in Miami for people who want instruction, not a performance — private one-on-one sessions, small classes capped at ten mats, and a Saturday sunrise practice on the sand.

My teaching borrows its rhythm from this city: we start slow while the light comes up, build heat through the middle, and rest long at the end. Breath leads, the body follows, and nobody is asked to be flexible on arrival.

A typical week looks like this: Hatha on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings for held poses and alignment; Vinyasa on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for heat and flow; breathwork on Wednesday nights; sunrise yoga on the sand every Saturday; and Yin on Sunday evenings to close the week quietly. Private sessions fit around that timetable — mornings and midday usually have the most room. Everything is experienced instructor-led, and classes are taught in English with Spanish cueing whenever anyone in the room prefers it.
