Yoga That is a small, woman-founded Iyengar studio on 41st Street in Miami Beach. Since 2012 we have taught one method, slowly and well: alignment-based yoga where each posture is measured, adjusted, and held — with blocks, straps, blankets, and chairs making the work available to every body.
There is no heat, no rushing, no performing. Teachers demonstrate, then correct you by hand. Beginners learn the names and the props; experienced students refine what they thought they knew. Most classes are mixed-level on purpose — watching each other work is part of the teaching.
Come stiff, sore, or skeptical. Those are our three favorite starting points.
We teach the pose you are in, not the pose you wish you were in.

For regulars. Unlimited classes across every format — multi-level, restorative, chair, meditation — plus priority booking for workshops.
For visitors and the curious. One class, any format, mat and props included. New students can also try two weeks unlimited for $49.
The core class. Seventy-five minutes of standing poses, inversions, and seated work taught the Iyengar way — with options at every step so beginners and long-time students share the room.
A four-week enrollment course covering the studio's whole vocabulary: the standing poses, the props, and a home sequence. Nothing is skipped and no question is too basic.
Bolsters, blankets, and gravity. Each posture held five to fifteen minutes while the nervous system downshifts. Mats are laid out before you arrive.
Therapeutic sequencing in small groups: rope-wall traction, chair-supported backbends, gentle decompressing twists. Intake form required so the teacher knows your history.
A full practice around a sturdy chair — standing poses with support, seated twists, shoulder openers, guided rest. No floor work required.
Thirty minutes of seated practice on Sunday mornings: settling, breath observation, silence. Chairs and cushions provided.
One-to-one teaching for injuries, goals, or a complicated schedule. First session is an assessment; the rest is designed from there. In-studio or at home.
Enrolled courses that build week to week — for students who want a thread to follow rather than a class to drop into.
A four-week beginner course: the standing poses, the props, and a full 60-minute sequence you can repeat at home. By week four you can walk into any multi-level class and follow along.
Six weeks of targeted therapeutic work: assessment and traction, supported backbends, twists that take pressure off the lumbar spine, and a personal 20-minute home routine written down for you to keep.
A monthly two-hour reset: six fully supported postures, ten minutes of guided breathwork, and twenty minutes of Yoga Nidra. The room is dim, the bolsters are stacked high, and talking stops at the door.
Every format we teach, drifting past. Hover around and see what catches your eye — then come try it in person.
