"Live Happy"
is the house philosophy

There's more to yoga than bending and breathing — much more, in fact. Since 2001, Yoga Pura has helped people use yoga practically: to nourish the body, settle the mind, and find the calm in the center of life's storms. That's the whole pitch, and twenty-plus years in Moon Valley is the proof.

Our teachers are master-level instructors who know how to teach a room with beginners and twenty-year practitioners side by side. The schedule leans Power and Flow, but the teaching always starts from the same place: find the right guide, and yoga's old wisdom starts working on a happier, healthier you from day one.

New here? The honest advice from the front desk is always the same — start with Beginners Basics or Gentle Flow, come ten minutes early, and let the teacher know it's your first class. Everything else takes care of itself.

First-timer's guide

STEP 01

Come ten minutes early

The studio opens before class for a reason. Arrive early, introduce yourself at the desk, mention any injuries or pregnancies — the teacher will plan around them and you'll start relaxed instead of rushed.

STEP 02

Bring almost nothing

Wear what you'd wear to stretch at home. Bring water. Mats and props are at the studio — if you don't own a mat yet, that's completely normal on day one.

STEP 03

Stay for the quiet part

Every class ends in stillness. New students sometimes slip out early — don't. The last five minutes are where the class lands, and they're the reason people keep coming back since 2001.

Questions, answered

I've never done yoga. Which class?+

Start with Beginners Basics or Gentle Flow. Tell the teacher it's your first class when you arrive — that's the whole system, and it works.

What should I wear and bring?+

Comfortable clothes you can move in, and water. Mats, blocks and straps are at the studio, so you don't need to buy anything first.

Do I need to book ahead?+

Walk-ins are welcome for most classes, but a quick call to (602) 843-7872 guarantees your spot — and lets us tell you if a class is unusually full.

What if I have an injury?+

Tell the teacher before class starts. Our instructors are experienced with modifying poses, and they'll give you options throughout — but this is yoga, not medical care, so check with your doctor first for anything serious.

Where exactly are you?+
