Chapter 01 — The room
One heated room.
Twelve years of showing up.
Yoga East Austin is a yoga school, not a fitness franchise — grounded, genuine, and built around the therapeutic sequence of Bikram hot yoga.
For over a dozen years we have taught in East Austin the same way: a room heated to 105°F, 26 postures and two breathing exercises, and teachers who teach full-time — most with ten or more years on the mat. The sequence never changes, which is the point. When the postures stay the same, you can finally watch yourself change inside them.
You do not need to be flexible or strong to start. You take class to get there. Heated and non-heated options run side by side, 33+ classes every week (per yogaeastaustin.com), so the practice can meet you on the day you're actually having.

Chapter 02 — The classes
Pick your temperature.
Bikram 90
Heated · 90 minThe original hot yoga: 26 postures, 2 breathing exercises, 105°F. A therapeutic sequence designed to move oxygenated blood everywhere. Beginners welcome; regulars still humbled.
Bikram 60
Heated · 60 minThe same 26-posture sequence, distilled for working days. Same heat, same discipline, half the time.
JM Vinyasa
Warm · 75 minBreath-led flow built for discipline and strength — creative sequencing that keeps the body warm and the mind exactly where it is.
Rocket
Warm · 75 minCore strength and movement for joint health. Inversions and arm balances with honest modifications for wherever you are today.
Spine & Hips
Non-heated · 60 minHappy spine, open hips, happy life. Slow, targeted work for the two places desk life ruins first.
Forrest / Yin
Non-heated · 60–75 minSlow and steady for focus. Long holds and conscious breathing — the class regulars take when their bodies say "enough."

Chapter 05 — Asked often
Before you ask.
What does the $59 intro pass actually get me?+
Three weeks of unlimited classes — 10+ styles, 38+ offerings a week (per yogaeastaustin.com/pricing). It starts on your first class, expires 22 days later, and never auto-renews. It's the cheapest experiment in hot yoga you'll find in Austin.
Do I have to reserve a spot online?+
No. Show up about 15 minutes early and say hello — that's the whole reservation system. First-timers get a quick orientation to the room.
What if I've never done yoga in heat?+
Then you're our favorite kind of student. Sit down whenever you need to, drink water, and stay in the room — the first few classes are an adjustment for everyone. Non-heated options like Spine & Hips and yin run all week if you want to start cooler.
What should I bring?+
Water, a mat, and a towel. Rentals are $5 each if you don't have them, and the $33 drop-in or $75 visitor week already include a mat and two towels per class.
