Heat pumps, air conditioning and airflow done right — by Red Seal technicians who quote before they work. Serving East Vancouver and the surrounding Lower Mainland since day one.
Western Pacific HVAC is a family business based in East Vancouver. We service heat pumps, air conditioners and mini-splits for homes, and we look after rooftop units, walk-in coolers and refrigeration for light commercial shops. Our technicians are Red Seal certified and licensed through Technical Safety BC. We are members of the Heat Pump and Climate Network and the Thermal Environmental Comfort Association. Our rule is simple and it never changes: we listen and inspect, we explain the finding in plain language, and we only do the work you approve. Quote before work. No surprise pricing. That is how a family shop earns a 4.9 out of 5 rating across 47 reviews, and that is how we intend to keep it.
Diagnosis and repair for ducted and ductless heat pumps — defrost faults, icing, short-cycling, refrigerant leaks, failing compressors. Annual maintenance keeps efficiency up and breakdowns rare.
Central air conditioning and wall-mounted mini-splits: cleaning, coil care, drainage, electrical checks and performance testing. We size replacements honestly when a unit is truly done.
Hot and cold spots, weak vents, rooms that never feel right. We measure actual airflow, find the restriction or design flaw, and correct it — ducts, dampers and fan settings, not guesswork.
Rooftop packaged units for small shops and offices: scheduled maintenance, belt and filter programs, and repair that keeps your business open and your staff comfortable.
Cooler and freezer boxes for restaurants and grocers. Temperature swings cost you product; we fix door seals, controls and refrigeration circuits before small faults become spoilage.
Reach-ins, prep tables and ice machines. Fast diagnosis, straight pricing, and maintenance plans that keep health inspectors happy and food safe.
Airflow meters, temperature splits, electrical draw — we collect the numbers, then show you what they mean. You will never get a quote built on a glance and a shrug. When we say a part has failed, we can show you the reading that proves it.
You approve the price before a single tool comes out of the van. If we open a unit and find something different, we stop, explain, and re-quote. The invoice matches the quote, or you do not pay the difference.
Some shops sell you a new system at the first opportunity. We repair when repair is the smart money. And when a unit is past its useful life, we will say so plainly — with the math to back it up.
Heat pumps and mini-splits for East Vancouver houses, laneways and condos. One noisy bedroom vent, one freezing basement, one heat pump that ices up every January — we handle the comfort problems that big companies rush past.
Cafes, restaurants, small retail and offices across the Lower Mainland. Rooftop units, walk-in coolers and refrigeration that your business depends on every single day.
A dead heat pump in January or a failed walk-in cooler on a Saturday is not a next-week problem. Call (555) 010-2030 during business hours, Mon–Fri 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, and we will get you on the schedule as fast as the day allows. If we cannot reach you in time, we will tell you exactly what to check or shut off so nothing gets worse while you wait.

You describe what is wrong — the noise, the cold room, the ice. We inspect the system and take real measurements, not guesses.
We tell you what failed, why it failed, and what it will take to fix it — in plain language, with the readings to prove it.
You get a firm quote and you approve it before we start. No work without approval, no surprises on the invoice.

A thin frost that melts during the defrost cycle is normal. Heavy ice that never clears, or a unit stuck in defrost for hours, is not. Low refrigerant, a failing defrost sensor or blocked airflow are the usual causes. If the ice keeps coming back, get it checked before the compressor takes the hit.
New noise always deserves a look, but it is rarely an emergency. Rattling panels, a failing fan bearing or a loose mount are common and cheap early. A grinding or screaming compressor is different — turn the system off and call us at (555) 010-2030.
Age and repair history decide. Under about 10 years with a single failed part, repair is usually the smart money. Over 12–15 years with repeat breakdowns, a new high-efficiency system often costs less than another two years of repairs plus the energy waste. We will show you the math both ways.
Once a year, minimum. Heat pumps work hard through Vancouver winters; an annual tune-up catches refrigerant loss, dirty coils and electrical wear before they become breakdowns. Commercial refrigeration and rooftop units do better on a scheduled plan — ask us about one.
Quote before work, no surprise pricing. We inspect, explain the finding, and give you a firm price. You approve it before we start. If the job changes once we are inside the unit, we stop and re-quote — the invoice matches what you approved.
