Yoga studio & sound sanctuary — Phoenix, AZ
Trace Zen Yoga is a small studio on Bell Road in Phoenix, founded by Tracy, a nurse who started with sound — gong baths first — and built a whole practice around them: Kundalini yoga, restorative yoga, sound baths, Reiki, massage, and meditation.
It is Black-owned and women-owned, and it runs like it: personal, unhurried, honest about what each practice can do. Classes stay small enough that a teacher can actually see you — and if you have never done yoga, you are exactly who the schedule was written for.
Onsite at 1601 E Bell Rd Suite A1, with online classes for anyone outside the neighborhood. Free parking on site. Mats, props, and blankets always provided.
Most people arrive carrying the week.
They leave quieter than they came.

The practices
Breath-led kriyas, chanting, and meditation in one class. Energizing without being athletic — the fastest way many students know to clear a crowded head.
Live gongs and crystal bowls while you rest. No experience needed, no flexibility required. Imagine: the deepest rest of your month — your blanket, your mat, your hour.
A quiet 60-minute one-on-one session, fully clothed. Booked most often on the weeks when words have stopped helping.
Long-held, fully supported postures with bolsters and blankets. Built for tight shoulders, bad sleep, and weeks that ran too long.
With Gina B.: classic 60-minute massage, acoustic massage with vibrational therapy, and an introductory hot stone session.
Guided sits and community circles, including the Tylrelax gatherings. Cushions and chairs available — come as you are.
Tylrelax workshops, healing circle nights of chanting and shared quiet, and off-site retreats. Open to all.
Incense, crystals, oils, and simple ritual objects — the small things students ask about after class.
