TIP TOP ROOFING — EST. SCOTTSDALE, AZ

A roofing contractor for people who read the fine print.

Good roofs are quiet.
You never think about them.

That is the whole philosophy at Tip Top Roofing Service. A roof should disappear into your life — no buckets in the hallway during monsoon season, no mysterious stains spreading across the ceiling, no second-guessing every time the wind picks up. We build roofs that let you forget they exist.

We are a licensed Arizona contractor serving Scottsdale and the Phoenix metro. Tile is our native language — lift and re-lay, ridge re-bedding, underlayment replacement — but we install and repair shingle, metal, and flat systems with the same care. Every estimate is written, every job is photographed, and every answer is straight.

Inspections are free and carry no obligation. If your roof is fine, we will tell you it is fine. That happens more often than you would think, and we are perfectly happy about it.

QUESTIONS WE HEAR

Asked often,
answered plainly.

How do I know if I need a repair or a whole new roof?

Age and pattern tell the story. Isolated damage on a mid-life roof is a repair. Widespread wear, recurring leaks in different spots, or a roof past its material lifespan means replacement is cheaper over the next decade. We show you the photos and the math — then it is your call.

What does a roof cost in Scottsdale?

Repairs typically start in the hundreds; full replacements for average Valley homes most often land in the low five figures, depending on material and complexity. We quote after a free inspection, never over the phone from a satellite photo.

Will you help with my insurance claim?

Yes. We document storm damage thoroughly, meet your adjuster on site, and make sure the approved scope matches what the storm actually did. It costs you nothing extra — it is part of doing the job right.

How long will the work take?

Most residential replacements finish in 1–3 days. Tile lift-and-relay takes a bit longer. Repairs are usually same-week. We give you a schedule in writing and keep to it.

Do you work on commercial buildings?

Yes — flat, foam, and tile systems for offices, retail, and HOAs, including coatings, drainage correction, and maintenance plans with documented condition reports.

Contractors love jargon. Here is what the options actually mean for a desert house, in plain language.

Clay / concrete tile

The desert classic. Shrugs off UV, lasts 30–50 years, and suits Southwestern architecture. Needs a crew that knows tile — the underlayment beneath matters more than the tile itself.

Architectural shingle

The practical choice. Lower upfront cost, 15–30 years in our heat with proper ventilation. Get the heat-rated line, not the builder-grade one.

Metal

Excellent heat reflectivity and longevity, at a premium price. Great for modern homes and anyone planning to stay put for decades.

Flat / foam & coating

For low-slope roofs. The coating is the roof — it needs recoating on schedule and drainage that actually drains. We maintain these properly.
