The shop

Texas Quality Plumbing is a working plumbing shop in Dallas — not a call center, not a franchise script. When you call, you talk to someone who has crawled under the house, seen the slab leak, and fixed it the same week. We do the unglamorous stuff that keeps a house livable: drains that actually drain, water heaters that stay hot through a cold snap, and pipes that hold pressure when the Texas clay shifts under your foundation. Every job gets a written scope before we start, photos of what we found, and a walkthrough of what we did. If a repair doesn't make sense and a replacement does, we'll say so — and show you why. That's the whole business model: show up on time, do the work right, leave the place cleaner than we found it.

Services

Five lines of work, done daily across Dallas. Diagnostic visit first — we find the actual problem before quoting the fix. Sample starting prices below are illustrative only; every job is quoted on site.

01

Drain cleaning

Kitchen lines, bathroom sinks, tubs, showers, and main sewer stoppages. We run a cable or a jetter depending on what the line needs — grease and soap scum in the kitchen, hair and biofilm in the bath, roots in the yard line. Slow drains, gurgling toilets, and standing water are the usual signs. We camera the line when a simple clear doesn't hold, so you're not paying for the same clog twice.

Sample: drain clear from $89 · camera inspection from $149
02

Leak detection & repair

Dallas homes sit on expansive clay soil, and slab foundations move — that's why pinhole leaks in copper and failed fittings under the slab are a local specialty. We use acoustic listening and pressure testing to pinpoint the leak before opening anything. Spot repair, reroute overhead, or full repipe: we'll lay out the options with honest pros and cons instead of pushing the most expensive one.

Sample: leak locate from $199 · spot repair from $350
03

Water heaters

Tank repair and replacement, plus tankless installs. Dallas water is hard on tanks — sediment buildup kills efficiency and shortens life, so we flush and service as well as replace. A 40- or 50-gallon tank swap is usually a same-day job; tankless conversions take longer and need a gas line and venting review, which we'll assess before quoting. We'll size the unit to your household, not to the truck stock.

Sample: tank install from $1,150 · tankless install from $2,800
04

Sewer lines & repipes

Main sewer repair and replacement, and whole-house repipes for homes with failing galvanized or polybutylene. Trenchless options where the line allows it. For repipes we map every fixture, plan the manifold layout, and keep you in water overnight whenever possible — a full repipe on a typical Dallas ranch usually runs three to five days, and we'll tell you the schedule up front.

Sample: sewer camera + locate from $249 · repipe quoted per home
05

Fixture installs

Faucets, toilets, shower valves, garbage disposals, dishwasher hookups, ice-maker lines, and hose bibbs. The small jobs matter: a toilet that runs wastes hundreds of gallons, a loose supply line floods a kitchen. Bring your own fixture or let us supply it — either way it's installed to code, tested under pressure, and sealed right the first time.

Sample: faucet install from $149 · toilet install from $229

Recent work

A few typical jobs, the way we'd describe them to a neighbor. Photos are illustrative of the trade.

01 Repipe Whole-house copper repipe
New copper pipe runs Fitting work during repipe
Finished fixture after repipe

The problem: galvanized lines from the 70s, rust-colored water, pressure dropping every year. The fix: full copper repipe through the attic with a central manifold — each fixture on its own home run, so a future repair never means tearing open five walls. Four days, water back on every night.

02 Water heater Tank to tankless conversion
Pipe connections at install Service van on site
Valve and gas line hardware

The problem: a family of five outgrowing a 40-gallon tank every single morning. The fix: gas line upsized, proper venting run, tankless unit mounted and descaled-ready with isolation valves for future maintenance. Endless hot water, and the garage got its floor space back.

03 Leak repair Slab leak reroute
Repair fitting detail New overhead copper run
Under-sink repair work

The problem: warm spot on the tile and a water bill that doubled — classic slab leak signature. The fix: acoustic locate, then an overhead PEX reroute instead of jackhammering the slab: faster, cleaner, and the new line is accessible if it ever needs service again. Floor stayed intact.
