Stadium–Chinatown
Walk-ins welcome

We do one thing obsessively: noodles worth dipping. Our tsukemen arrives as thick, cold, springy wheat noodles beside a bowl of concentrated hot broth — pork-deep, slick with rendered fat, built to cling. You dip a few strands, you slurp, the broth coats everything. Then you ask for soup-wari, hot broth to thin the dip, and you drink it like the regulars do. The rest of the menu is the same philosophy in bowl form: tonkotsu simmered low and long, miso with backbone, spice for people who mean it. No gimmicks. Just a counter, steam, and the loudest quiet lunch on Abbott Street.

03 / How a visit works

Tsukemen,
in four moves.

01

Take your seat

We're at 515 Abbott St, a short walk from Stadium–Chinatown station. Walk-ins welcome — grab a counter seat, take the menu, take a breath. The room smells like pork broth doing its job.

02

Order the dip

Say "tsukemen" if it's your first time. It lands as two vessels: a tangle of thick cold noodles on one side, a small bowl of concentrated hot broth on the other. That's the whole format. Trust it.

03

Dip & slurp

Take a few strands — never the whole bundle — and dunk them in the hot broth. Slurp loudly; it's the correct technique and it cools the noodles. The broth is intense by design. That's the point.

04

Finish with soup-wari

When the noodles are gone, ask for soup-wari: hot clear broth to thin the remaining dip into a drinkable soup. Regulars don't skip this. Neither should you.

07 / FAQ

Asked often.

What exactly is tsukemen?

Tsukemen is dipping ramen. Thick, cold, chewy noodles arrive beside a small bowl of concentrated hot broth. You dip a few strands at a time and slurp. It's interactive, it's textural, and it's the dish we're known for at $20.50 (sample).

Do I need a reservation?

No — walk-ins are welcome. We're a small counter-style room. If you're bringing a group of six or more, a quick call to (778) 737-3805 helps us set out enough chopsticks.

What are your hours?

Mon–Thu 11:30am–3:30pm and 5–9:30pm; Fri–Sun 11:30am–9:30pm. Two services on weekdays with a mid-afternoon break; straight through on weekends.

Do you do takeaway and delivery?

Yes. Takeaway at the counter, plus delivery through the major apps across Vancouver and nearby suburbs.

Any vegetarian options?

Yes — the Kara Miso Veggie Ramen ($19.95, sample) is built on a vegetable broth with the same chilli-miso kick as the meat bowls.

How much does a bowl cost?

Most bowls run $18.95–$20.95 (samples). Sides and combos start lower. The board in-store is the final word on prices.
