Hiring a roofing company is a big decision. You want the people on your roof to know exactly what they are doing — and to still be around in twenty years if anything goes wrong. We repair first and only recommend a new roof when it is genuinely needed. Fully qualified, fully insured, and every job finished tidy.

Four trades,
one crew.

01

Repair first, always

Most roofers sell you a new roof. We would rather fix the one you have. A proper repair with matching slate or tile costs a fraction of a replacement and can add years of life.

  • Leak tracing — find the source, not just the stain
  • Storm damage — slipped and missing coverings made good
  • Chimney & flashing — leadwork repaired or renewed

A roof does not fail all at once. It fails at the weak points — a cracked flashing, a perished felt, a slipped course. Catch those early and the roof keeps going. That is the whole philosophy: diagnose properly, fix precisely, charge fairly.

Every repair is photographed before and after, so you see exactly what was wrong and what we did about it.

02

Roofs built for Scottish weather

A new roof is a twenty-plus-year decision. We strip to the timbers, check every batten, lay proper breathable membrane and finish in slate or tile that suits the property and the street.

  • Slate roofs — natural slate, correct headlap, no shortcuts
  • Tile roofs — concrete and clay, ventilated properly
  • Flat roofs — modern systems with proper falls and drainage

We price new roofs as a fixed written quote after a proper look — not a guess over the phone. Timescales are agreed up front and the site is left clean every evening.

All new roof work is guaranteed, and we are fully insured, so the promise is worth something.

03

Roughcasting that weathers well

Roughcast — pebble dash — is the traditional Scottish answer to horizontal rain. Done right it protects the wall for decades and gives the house a fresh, even face.

  • Patch repairs — blown areas cut out and re-dashed to match
  • Full re-render — whole elevations stripped and renewed
  • Colour & texture — matched to the existing finish

Bad roughcasting fails because the prep was rushed. We take the wall back to sound material, get the mix right and dash in the right conditions. It is slower, and it lasts.

A well-dashed house also holds its value — kerb appeal matters when you come to sell.

04

The roofline, sorted

Fascias, soffits and gutters are the parts of the roof you see every day — and the parts that quietly rot first. We repair or replace the lot, in timber or low-maintenance UPVC.

  • Gutters — leaking joints, sagging runs, full replacement
  • Fascias & soffits — rotten boards out, vented boards in
  • Downpipes — sized right so water actually drains

A surprising number of "roof leaks" are really roofline failures. Water gets behind a rotten fascia and shows up inside two rooms away. We check the roofline on every job, whether you asked or not.

Vented soffits also keep the roof space breathing, which keeps condensation — and the rot it brings — away.

How a job runs

Step 01

Have a look — free

Call 0141 374 0087 or request a call back. We come out, get on the roof, and look properly. No charge, no obligation, no sales pitch.

Step 02

Straight quote, in writing

You get a fixed written price for exactly what we will do — materials, labour, timescale. If a repair will do, we say so, even though a new roof would pay us more.

Step 03

The work, done properly

We turn up when we say we will, protect the property, and work to the standard we would want on our own houses. Photos before and after, so you can see the difference.

Step 04

Tidy finish, guaranteed

Everything cleared and swept before we leave. The work is guaranteed and we are fully insured — and we answer the phone if you ever need us again.

Roofing questions,
answered straight

Is the estimate really free?

Yes. We come out, look at the roof properly and give you a fixed written quote. No call-out fee, no obligation, and no hard sell — if the job is small we will tell you.

Do you repair, or only replace?

We always look at repair first. Slipped slates, failed flashing and localised damage can usually be fixed for a fraction of a new roof. We only recommend replacement when the roof is genuinely at the end of its life.

What is roughcasting, and does my house need it?

Roughcasting (pebble dash) is a weatherproof render for exterior walls — standard on Scottish homes. If your existing dash is cracked, hollow or falling off, patching or re-rendering stops water getting into the wall.

Are you insured?

Yes — fully insured, and all work is guaranteed. We use locally sourced materials and you get photos of the work before and after.

How long does a new roof take?

Most domestic re-roofs take between a few days and two weeks depending on size and material. You get an agreed timescale in writing before we start, and the site is left tidy every evening.
