Chapter 01 — The coldest night
Heat fails at 2 a.m.
It never breaks down on a mild Tuesday afternoon. It breaks down on the coldest night of the year, with the wind off the water and the thermostat staring back at you. That is when the phone rings — and that is the call we built this shop around.
A dead furnace is not a next-week problem. We keep room in every schedule for no-heat calls across Vancouver and the surrounding cities, because we have stood in enough cold living rooms to know what "we'll get to you Thursday" feels like at 2 a.m.
Gas leaks get the same urgency. If you smell gas, the script is short: get everyone out, don't touch switches or appliances, and call 911 or the gas utility's emergency line from outside the house. Once the immediate danger is cleared, call us at (604) 733-3737 — we find the leak, repair it, and pressure-test the entire run before we leave. No patch-and-pray.
Emergency or not, every visit follows the same rule we have kept since 1994: diagnose first, price straight, then work. You approve the number before we touch a wrench.
Chapter 02 — The boiler room
One trade, seven tools.
Walk into any mechanical room in this city and you will find some combination of the same seven things. We spend our days with all of them — furnaces that short-cycle, boilers older than the mortgage, tanks that rumble, floors that heat unevenly, fireplaces that won't stay lit, gas lines added by somebody's uncle. Gas furnace repair & install
Furnaces are our bread and butter. We diagnose and repair all major makes, and when a unit is past its honest life we size and install a replacement that fits the house — not a sales quota.
Hot water boilers
Boilers are our specialty. We service, repair and replace residential and light-commercial hot water boilers — and clean up the near-boiler piping while we're in there.
Water heaters & tanks
We supply, install and service tank and tankless water heaters. If the hot water runs out halfway through the morning rush, that's our kind of problem.
Hydronic radiant floors
In-floor radiant heat is quiet, even and easy to love — until something goes wrong. We maintain and retrofit hydronic systems: manifolds, pumps, mixing valves and controls.
Gas fireplaces
Annual cleaning and safety checks for gas fireplaces and inserts. Clear glass, steady pilot, warm room.
Gas piping
New gas lines, reroutes and additions for ranges, dryers, barbecues and heaters — run clean, pressure-tested and up to code.
Gas leak repair
We locate leaks, repair them and re-test the whole run. Smell gas right now? Get out first, then call us — or 911 — from outside.
Chapter 03 — Thirty winters
Still answering the same number.
Plenty of heating shops have come and gone since 1994. We are still here, still a bonded & insured gas contractor, still doing gas work like the licence is on the line on every job — because it is. Every joint wiped, every run pressure-tested, every appliance checked for spillage and carbon monoxide before we pack up.
