01 — The shop
From a mobile rig to a full studio.
R3 began as mobile detailing — two buckets, a polisher, and a trunk full of chemicals. We learned paint the hard way: one panel at a time, in Houston driveways, in 100-degree heat. That history is why we talk the way we do. We will tell you why a swirl is there, what a machine polish can and cannot fix, and whether your paint actually needs correction before it needs coating. A ceramic coating locks in whatever is underneath it, good or bad, for three to five years. So we correct first, then protect. We confirm every appointment, we finish on time, and if something is not right, we redo it — that is the whole business model. We work on daily drivers, exotics, work trucks, RVs, and a whole lot of Teslas. Model 3, Model Y, Cybertruck — including the big panoramic roofs that most tint shops quietly decline. Friendly service and clear communication are not slogans on our wall. They are how a mobile detailer survives long enough to open a shop.

05 — Questions we hear daily
Straight answers.
How long does a ceramic coating take?+
Plan on two days. Day one is wash, decontamination and machine polishing — the correction step that actually creates the gloss. Day two is the coating application and cure time. Rushing either step is how coatings fail early.
Does window tint really block heat, or is it just dark?+
Real heat rejection comes from the film's construction, not its darkness. Modern ceramic films reject a large share of infrared heat while staying light enough to see through clearly at night. We will show you the difference with a heat lamp demo in the shop.
Will PPF turn yellow or peel?+
Old films did. Current-generation PPF has UV inhibitors and self-healing top coats, and we warranty our installs. Edges are wrapped where possible so there is nothing to catch and lift.
Do you tint Tesla panoramic roofs?+
Yes — including the big one-piece roofs on Model 3 and Y, and Cybertruck glass. It is one of the most heat-loaded pieces of glass on any car, so it benefits the most. This is fiddly work; it is also work we do weekly.
Can smoke smell actually be removed, or just covered up?+
Removed — but only if you treat the source. We clean the headliner, seats, carpets, and run treatment through the HVAC system where smoke residue hides. A scented spray is not odor removal; we do not sell those.
My car got overspray from a construction site. Is the paint ruined?+
Almost certainly not. Overspray sits on top of the clear coat and comes off with clay treatment and a light polish. We have cleared whole cars of it. Do not try to scrape it — that is how the paint actually gets ruined.
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?+
Appointments, always. Correction, coating and film are scheduled crafts, not drive-through work. Call or email and we will confirm your slot and finish time in writing.
What are your hours?+
We book by appointment — call ahead for current hours.
