Questions we hear every week
FAQ
How long does a ceramic coating actually last?
Years, not weeks — when it is maintained. A professional ceramic coating outlasts waxes and sealants by a wide margin, but the exact lifespan depends on the coating line, how the car is washed, and where it lives. That is why the consultation matters: we walk you through the options, the pros and cons of each, and the simple routine that keeps the coating performing.
How much does ceramic coating cost?
It depends on the vehicle size and the paint condition, because prep and machine polishing are most of the labour. Every quote is free and itemised in writing — no mystery line items. As a rough sample, coating packages on this page start from $799.
Is window tint legal in BC?
Only behind the driver. BC's Motor Vehicle Act regulations (s. 7.05) do not allow aftermarket film on the windshield — except a brow strip up to 75 mm at the top — or on the two front side windows. Any shade is fine on the windows behind the driver and the rear glass. We install only compliant film and we check what is legal on your vehicle before we start.
What is the difference between PPF and ceramic coating?
PPF is a physical shield; ceramic is a chemical one. Paint protection film is a self-healing urethane layer that absorbs rock chips, scratches and road rash. Ceramic coating adds deep gloss, water behaviour and UV and chemical resistance, but it will not stop a rock chip. A lot of our customers do both: film on the high-impact front end, coating over everything.
Do I need an appointment?
Appointments are recommended so a bay, the right film or coating, and a technician are ready for your vehicle when you arrive. Surrey is open every day 9AM–7PM; Langley runs Mon–Fri 9:00–5:30 and Sat 10:00–4:00. Call (555) 010-2030 or send the quote form below.
