Landscape design & build — Denver, Colorado
The studio — 01
Mile High Landscaping is an award-winning Denver landscape design and build studio. We create sustainable landscapes and functional hardscapes for homes and businesses across the metro — plantings chosen for Colorado's semi-arid climate, stonework engineered for its freeze–thaw, and outdoor living spaces that get used from the first warm April evening to the last October fire.
We know this ground: heavy clay, desiccating wind, and spring snowstorms that arrive after the daffodils. Our plant palettes lean on adapted and native species that thrive on less water, and our hardscape details are drawn for heave — so the patio you love in June still sits flat in year ten.
One team draws it, one team builds it. You deal with the same people from the first site walk to the final walkthrough.
What we do — 02
Concept plans drawn for your lot, your light, and the way you actually live outside. Scaled, planted, and priced on paper before we dig — so there are no surprises, only decisions.
Patios, walkways, and retaining walls built for Colorado freeze–thaw. Proper bases, clean edges, and jointing that stays put — the unglamorous work that decides whether stonework lasts three years or thirty.
Patio roofs, fire features, and gathering spaces that stretch the Front Range season. Kitchens, seating walls, and fire pits placed where the evening light actually lands.
Water-wise plantings chosen for Colorado's semi-arid climate — layered beds with four-season interest and a fraction of the irrigation a lawn demands.
Efficient zones, smart controllers, and head-to-head coverage tuned to sun, slope, and soil. Less water, healthier plants, lower bills.
Low-voltage lighting that makes paths safe and architecture glow after dark. Designed in layers — path, accent, and moonlight — never a runway of identical fixtures.
Grading, French drains, and dry creek beds that move spring snowmelt away from foundations. We turn the wettest corner of your lot into a garden feature.
Design, build, and seasonal care for offices, retail, restaurants, and multi-family properties. Entries that impress before clients reach the door.
Who we build for — 03
Residential
From Cherry Hills acreage to Platt Park cottages, most of our work is residential design-build — outdoor rooms planned like interiors, with circulation, focal points, and light.
Commercial
Alongside residential work we design and build landscapes for commercial properties — offices, retail, restaurants, multi-family — sharp 365 days a year.

It depends on the scope — every project starts with a free on-site consultation and a detailed written proposal. We'd rather walk your property and give you a fixed number than guess from a photo. The sample guide above shows typical ranges.
