What we do
Kirkstone Heating and Cooling is an HVAC contractor based in North Vancouver, BC, working across the Lower Mainland since 1996. Five service lines — furnace, heat pump, fireplace, water heater, plumbing — each offered in three tiers: servicing to keep things running, repair when they break, install when replacement is the honest answer.

How we charge
Up-front pricing, no hidden costs. You approve one number before any work starts — the diagnostic visit ends with a quote, not a surprise. And the oldest rule in the shop still stands: no payment until you're fully satisfied with the finished job.
On top of that, every heating repair includes a 1-year extended warranty. If the same fault returns within the year, we come back and make it right.

My furnace is making a strange noise — should I worry?
Yes — get it checked. Banging, screeching or rattling usually means something is loose, worn or overheating. Smell gas? Leave the house and call the gas utility. Otherwise, book a diagnostic and you'll get an up-front price first.
Heat pump or furnace — which suits my home?
Depends on the house. Coastal winters are mild enough for a cold-climate heat pump to carry most of the season; a furnace covers the coldest snaps. We assess insulation, ductwork and bills — and tell you when your current system is fine.
How often should a gas fireplace be serviced?
Once a year. Annual servicing keeps the glass clear, the pilot steady and venting safe. Late summer beats the autumn rush.
Do your repairs come with a warranty?
Yes — 1 year. Every heating repair includes a 1-year extended warranty. Same fault back within the year, we fix it.
