The smallest part of the system, and the one you touch most

HVAC Ottawa Care is a heating, cooling and ventilation contractor in Ottawa, Ontario — founded here by a University of Ottawa graduate. We do two things, and we do them for both houses and businesses: repair what you have, and install what you need.

Ottawa asks more of a heating system than almost any capital in the world. A furnace here doesn't get a winter off, and an air conditioner gets about six weeks to prove itself. That is the whole context of our work: equipment that has to be right, in a city that notices when it isn't.

So we start every job the same way — diagnose first, price second. You will know exactly what the repair costs before we do it, and exactly why a replacement is the better call when it is. No heat in January is treated as the emergency it is. No upsell dressed up as advice. The company is local, the technicians are local, and the accountability is local: if something we touched isn't right, we come back.

"Diagnose first, price second — you approve the number before any wrench turns."

What we do, in full

  1. 01
    AC Repair
    Residential · Commercial
Weak cooling, warm air, ice on the coil, short-cycling, odd noises — the fault found on site and the price given before work begins.
  2. 02
    AC Installation
    Central AC · Replacement
A new central air conditioner matched to the house and its ductwork — sized properly, commissioned and tested before we leave.
  3. 03
    Furnace Repair
    Emergency · Gas furnace
Ignitors, blower motors, control boards, flame sensors, heat exchangers. No-heat calls in winter jump the queue.
  4. 04
    Furnace Installation
    High-efficiency
When the numbers say repair is throwing good money after bad, we install high-efficiency — vented, wired, started up, old unit removed.
  5. 05
    Furnace Cleaning
    Tune-up · Maintenance
The seasonal visit: burners cleaned, flame sensor checked, filter replaced, airflow measured — the service January thanks you for.
  6. 06
    Heating Repair & Install
    Whole-home · Ductwork
Thermostats, ductwork faults, uneven rooms and chronic cold spots — the whole heating loop, not just the box in the basement.
  7. 07
    HVAC Inspection
    Pre-purchase · Report
A full heating-and-cooling inspection with plain-language findings — for buyers, sellers, or anyone who wants the truth in writing.
  8. 08
    Commercial HVAC
    Business · Maintenance plans
Rooftop units, split systems and ventilation for offices and shops, with scheduled maintenance that respects your hours.

Process

How a job goes

01

Call

Tell us what's happening — no heat, weak cooling, a noise that wasn't there last week. We ask the questions that matter.

02

Diagnose

A technician inspects the equipment on site and finds the actual fault, not the symptom.

03

Upfront price

You get the full price before any work starts. If the repair isn't worth it, we tell you that plainly.

04

Fix

Repair or install, done cleanly — drop cloths, shoe covers, old parts shown to you, the area left tidy.

05

Follow-up

We check back after the first real cold snap or heat wave. If something isn't right, we come back.

Questions

Asked often

Do you service both homes and businesses?

Yes — residential and commercial. Houses, condos, offices, shops and small industrial spaces. The equipment is sized differently; the standard of work isn't.

What areas do you cover?

Ottawa and the surrounding National Capital Region — including Kanata, Nepean, Gloucester, Barrhaven, Orléans, Stittsville and Gatineau. If you're close and unsure, call and ask.

Do you repair as well as install?

Both, repair first. Every job starts with a diagnosis and a repair quote. Replacement enters the conversation only when the numbers favour it — and we show you the numbers.

How do I get a quote?

Call (555) 010-2030 or send the form above. Describe the problem, we schedule a visit, you approve the price before any work begins. Installations are quoted on site after seeing the space.

What should I do if my furnace stops on a cold night?

Call us, then check the basics. Thermostat on heat and set above room temperature, filter not clogged, breaker not tripped. If those check out, don't keep hitting reset — repeated failed starts can turn a small fault into a bigger one.
