Yoga studio — Wellington, New Zealand · Heated & unheated classes
01 — The studio
Yoga doesn't ask you to be flexible. It asks you to show up. Heated rooms for the sweat, quiet rooms for the stillness, and teachers who remember what your first class felt like — because they had one too.
Hot Yoga Wellington is a neighbourhood studio built around one idea: an hour that belongs entirely to you. No mirrors to perform for, no competition, no perfect poses required. Just breath, movement, and a room warm enough to let your shoulders drop.
We teach six class styles from furnace-hot vinyasa to candlelit yin, plus a four-week Foundations course that takes absolute beginners to confident regulars. Mats, blocks, straps, and towels are on us — bring water and clothes you can move in.

CARD 01 / FIRST TIMER
Start with Foundations or Slow Flow — unheated, unhurried, and full of other beginners. Tell the teacher it's day one; they'll check in without singling you out. Nobody cares what you wear or whether you can touch your toes.
CARD 02 / SWEAT SEEKER
Hot Yoga and heated Vinyasa: 60–75 minutes, warm room, real workout. You'll leave wrung out in the best way. Hydrate through the day, eat light two hours before, and expect to be humbled — lovingly.
CARD 03 / DEEP REST
Yin and Slow Flow for the depleted: long holds, warm (not hot) rooms, nervous-system-first sequencing. Many of our most loyal students arrived exhausted and never left. Socks on, phone off.
04 — Getting here
Students come from across the city — before work, at lunch, after the kids are down. We're central, near bus routes, with bike parking out front. Wherever in Wellington you are, there's a class that fits your day.
First visit? Arrive 15 minutes early for a tour and a locker. Everything else — mat, blocks, straps, towel — is on us.
05 — First visit
Heated classes cap numbers, so booking matters. Pick a class, pick a time — we'll confirm your spot by email.
Tour, locker, and a quick chat about injuries or pregnancy. We tailor cues — the more we know, the better your class.
Child's pose is always available and never judged. Step out for air quietly if the heat gets much — come back when ready.
The last five minutes aren't optional fluff — they're the point. Then water, electrolytes, and the best sleep you've had in weeks.

08 — FAQ
That's exactly who it's for. Flexibility is a result, not a prerequisite. Every pose has modifications, props are free, and teachers demo options for stiff bodies in every class.
Around XX°C (sample), with ventilation and humidity control. It's warm enough to loosen muscles, not a sauna. Sit down and sip water whenever you need — it's normal.
Water and clothes you can move in. Mats, blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets, and towels are all provided. Showers and lockers on site.
Talk to us and your clinician first. Slow Flow and Yin work for many pregnancies and injuries with modifications; heated classes aren't recommended in pregnancy. We'd rather adapt than have you guess.
Booking is strongly recommended — heated classes cap at XX mats (sample) and do sell out. Casual drop-ins are welcome when there's space.
09 — Book
Tell us which class caught your eye and we'll confirm your spot. First-timers: mention it and we'll meet you at the door.
