Hot Yoga Wellington — Wellington, New Zealand · (555) 010-2030

Sweat it out.
Breathe it in.

Chapter 01 — The studio

A heated room, an hour that belongs to you.

Hot Yoga Wellington is a neighbourhood studio for people who want to move hard and land soft. Heated vinyasa for the sweat, slow flow for the middle path, yin for the deep exhale. Beginners are genuinely welcome — most of us started exactly where you are, slightly nervous at the back of the room.

Chapter 02 — Classes

Six ways onto the mat.

01

Hot Yoga

The signature: 60 or 75 minutes in a heated room, a set sequence that builds heat and focus. Expect to sweat — that's the point. Modifications offered for every pose.

60 / 75 MIN · HEATED · ALL LEVELS
02

Vinyasa Flow

Breath-led movement, no two classes exactly alike. Strong, rhythmic, and quietly addictive — good for people who find stillness hard to sit with.

60 MIN · WARM · INTERMEDIATE
03

Yin Yoga

Long-held floor poses, 3–5 minutes each, in a warm (not hot) room. Targets hips, hamstrings, and the nervous system. Bring socks; leave changed.

75 MIN · WARM · ALL LEVELS
04

Slow Flow

Half the pace of vinyasa, twice the attention to alignment. Ideal if you're returning after a break, managing an injury, or just prefer unhurried.

60 MIN · WARM · BEGINNER FRIENDLY
05

Yin Yang

First half dynamic yang flow, second half deep yin stillness. The complete evening in 75 minutes — arrive wired, leave unwound.

75 MIN · HEATED · ALL LEVELS

Foundations

A four-week beginner course: breath, core poses, how to use props, studio etiquette. Graduate straight into any class on the timetable.

Chapter 04 — First visit

Your first class, step by step.

  1. Book online, arrive 15 minutes early

Heated classes cap numbers, so booking matters. Come early for a studio tour, a locker, and a chat about injuries or pregnancy — we'll tailor cues for you.

  2. Hydrate and eat light

Drink water through the day; eat a light meal 2 hours before. The room is hot — arriving depleted is the only real mistake beginners make.

  3. Take the back row, take breaks

Nobody minds if you sit out a pose. Child's pose is always available and never judged. Leave the room quietly if you need air — come back when ready.

  4. Cool down and rehydrate

We finish with savasana, not a sprint to the door. Water and electrolytes after; you'll sleep well tonight. That's the whole pitch, really.

Chapter 06 — Questions

Asked often.

I've never done yoga. Where do I start?

Foundations or Slow Flow — both built for beginners. Heated classes welcome beginners too, but start with an unheated class so you learn the poses before adding heat. Tell the teacher it's your first time; they'll check in.

How hot is "hot"?

Our heated room runs around XX°C (sample). It's warm enough to loosen muscles and raise your heart rate, with ventilation and humidity control. If you feel dizzy, sit down, sip water — it's normal and it passes.

What should I bring?

Just yourself, water, and workout clothes. Mats, blocks, straps, and towels are provided free. We have showers, lockers, and filtered water on site.

Can I do yoga while pregnant or injured?

Talk to us first — and your doctor. Slow Flow and Yin suit many pregnancies and injuries with modifications, but heated classes aren't recommended in pregnancy. We'll always adapt; we'd rather you ask than guess.

How much does it cost?

Casual classes from $XX, 10-class passes, and unlimited monthly memberships (sample prices). Your first week is discounted so you can try different class styles before committing.
