Green Care Project began in 2015 with one intent: do good on the land we live on. It has grown into one of the most environmentally conscious landscape practices on Australia's east coast — landscape architecture, landscape construction, horticultural maintenance and environmental consultancy under a single Brisbane roof.
Because the same practice designs, builds and cares for your garden, nothing is lost between the drawing and the digging. The result is outdoor space that feels natural, functional and quietly remarkable — and keeps thriving years after handover.
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work and live — the Turrbal, Jagera, Bundjalung, Gubbi Gubbi, Waka Waka and Quandamooka peoples.

How a project moves
Walk the site together. Written scope + honest budget range before anything is drawn.
Two or three native-palette directions. You choose; we refine with you.
Construction drawings, drainage, irrigation, planting schedules with named species.
Our own crews build. Site lead, weekly updates, documented workmanship.
Plant-by-plant care guide, establishment plan, optional maintenance program.
Residential
Full backyard transformations, front-yard street appeal, pool surrounds, native cottage gardens, shaded courtyards. Plants that evolved for Queensland need less water, less fertiliser and less of your weekends.

Commercial
Apartments, cafés, offices and retail choose us because their landscapes still look intentional in year three. Body-corporate approvals, staged works around trading hours, maintenance contracts with fixed schedules and reporting.

Questions, answered first
Most residential projects run 4–12 weeks from design sign-off to handover. Planting refreshes take days; full backyards with retaining and paving need 6–10 weeks of construction. Your fixed quote includes a written program.
They already know how to live here. Native species handle Brisbane's heat, storms and clay with far less water and fertiliser — and feed local birds, bees and butterflies.

Yes — horticultural maintenance is a core discipline. Scheduled pruning, mulching, feeding and seasonal adjustment keep the garden maturing the way the design intended.
Design is quoted separately — sample: concept design from $1,800 (sample). If we build the project, the design fee is credited against construction. You pay once for the thinking.
