About the firm

Thirty years on Scottish roofs teaches you what brochures never will: where the wind gets in, where the moss starts, and which shortcuts come back to haunt a house.

What we do

01Roof slatingtap to expand +
Traditional slate roofs, repaired and re-laid. We source matching slates so patches disappear into the original roof, and we re-slate full roofs with proper underlay, battens and leadwork.
02Roof tilingtap to expand +
Concrete and clay tile roofs for new builds and replacements. We strip back to the timbers where needed, check the structure, and lay tiles to the manufacturer's specification.
03Roof repairstap to expand +
Slipped slates, storm damage, leaking valleys, broken ridges, chimney flashing — the everyday problems that get worse if ignored. Most repairs are finished in a single visit.
04UPVC fascias & soffitstap to expand +
Rotten timber fascias replaced with maintenance-free UPVC, plus soffits and guttering. It is the finishing touch that makes a roof look new and stops water getting behind the eaves.
05Roughcastingtap to expand +
Protective and decorative roughcast wall finishes, repairs to cracked or blown render, and full re-casts. We match existing textures so repairs blend in.
06Roof maintenancetap to expand +
Planned check-ups: gutters cleared, moss treated, flashings checked, minor faults fixed before they become insurance claims. Sensible for older roofs and landlords.
07Building worktap to expand +
The building side of the business — chimney repairs and repointing, leadwork, small extensions of roofing-related masonry. If it sits on or under a roof, we can usually take it on.

How we work

  1. Survey & free written quote. We come out, get on the roof, photograph what we find, and leave you a written quote. No obligation, no pressure.
  2. Agree the scope. You know exactly what is included, what it costs, and when we start. Materials and scaffolding are itemised, not hidden.
  3. The work itself. Scaffolding where needed, proper safety, tidy site at the end of every day. You will know who is on your roof and when.
  4. Sign-off & aftercare. We walk the job with you, photograph the finished roof, and we are a phone call away if anything needs attention afterwards.

FAQ

Asked often

How much does a new roof cost in Glasgow?
Every roof is priced after a free on-site survey — no two roofs cost the same. Size, pitch, access, slate or tile choice and the state of the timbers underneath all change the figure. The guide table above gives rough sample ranges; your written quote is the real number, and it costs you nothing to get one.
How do I arrange a free quote?
