Resort-style Texas backyard with custom pool, stone patio and evening light

Austin, Texas · Aggie owned & operated

Designed first.
Built once, built right.

The story — five chapters

A backyard is a system, not a shopping list.

Scroll through how Cutters thinks: the ethic behind the company, the water you swim in, the fire you cook over, the stone you walk on, and the ground it all stands on. One team, five steps, zero handoffs lost in translation.

ETHOS

Chapter 01 — The ethic

Aggie owned,
client first.

Cutters was founded by Texas A&M graduates on honesty, integrity, and a high code of ethics. That isn’t wall art — it’s how estimates get written, how crews behave on your property, and how we answer the phone. A trusted name in Austin landscaping because the work and the word match.

  • Responsive team: an on-call crew means questions get answered fast.
  • Final say is yours: designs come to you for approval at every gate.
  • Five steps, no fog: consult, design, approve, build, walkthrough.
WATER

Chapter 02 — Pools

Water, engineered.

A custom pool is the most engineered purchase most homeowners ever make — soil, steel, hydraulics, finishes. We hold the industry’s top certification for pool building and design, and it shows in shells that don’t crack, equipment you never think about, and waterlines that stay razor-straight through Texas summers.

  • Custom shapes: geometric or freeform, spas, tanning ledges, baja shelves.
  • Equipment: variable-speed, salt-friendly, automated — set and forget.
FIRE

Chapter 03 — Kitchens

Cook outside.

Outdoor kitchens fail at the details — the missing outlet, the blinding light, the burner the wind kills. We resolve all of it in the drawings: gas and power runs, ventilation, task lighting, and seating at real human heights, in stone and steel that take the heat.

  • Grill stations & bars: plumbed, wired, and lit for real cooking.
  • Pizza ovens & smokers: the weekend upgrades that get used weekly.
  • One control: layered lighting — task, ambient, landscape — together.
STONE

Chapter 04 — Hardscape

Stone that stays level.

Patios, seating walls, fire features, walkways — the bones of the yard. Ours go down on proper base depths with drainage designed in, not hoped for. Surfaces that stay level through thermal swing and shed water away from the house in a gully-washer.

  • Paver patios: tight joints, compacted base, no rocking stones.
  • Seating walls & fire: architecture you sit on, warmth you gather at.
  • Drainage: every surface graded to move water where it belongs.
GROUND

Chapter 05 — Craft

Built for Austin ground.

Limestone soil, caliche, 105° heat: Central Texas punishes generic construction. We spec materials for UV and thermal swing, plant palettes that take the heat and sip water once established, and eco-friendly practices that save time, money, and energy over the life of the yard.

  • Texas-tough: every detail spec’d for local soil and climate.
  • Eco-friendly: efficient equipment, water-wise planting.
  • Long view: designed so year ten looks like year two.
