ColoradoDetail started the way most detailing shops do — one person who couldn't stop noticing swirl marks in parking lots.

Denver is hard on cars, and that shaped everything about the shop. The high-altitude sun bakes clear coat all summer long. Winter brine and mag chloride creep into seams and eat at everything they touch. Dust blows in off the plains and settles into creases you'll never reach with a home vacuum. So our routines are built around what local cars actually need: thorough decontamination before any polish touches paint, careful machine work instead of rushed passes, and protection chosen for Colorado weather rather than for a brochure.

We're a small shop on purpose. Every car gets a walkaround with you before we start — we point at the stain, the scratch, the chip, and tell you what will come out and what won't. If your paint doesn't need polishing, we won't sell you polishing. Appointments run one car at a time, because rushing is how swirls happen and swirls are the whole thing we're fighting.

People ask what "detailing" means versus a car wash. A wash removes dirt. Detailing removes dirt, then fixes what the dirt was hiding: embedded contamination in the paint, stains set into fabric, oxidation dulling the finish — and then protects the result so it lasts. It's slower and it costs more, and the difference is visible from across the parking lot.
