The studio

A small room for big exhales

Basecamp Yoga sits at 18 Westmoreland Street West, Grey Lynn. We keep class sizes small, the music low and the teaching hands-on. Vinyasa in the morning, Yin when the day is done, Hot Yoga for the ones who want to work harder. Beginners are welcome everywhere — tell the teacher it is your first class and you will be looked after.

Classes & services

Class levels

All levels

Start where you are

Most classes take every level. Teachers demonstrate the full pose and the easier version side by side, so nobody is guessing. New to yoga? Begin with foundations or a gentle Vinyasa and mention it at the desk.

Hot

Turn up the heat

Hot Yoga follows a set sequence in a heated room. It is the most physical thing on the timetable. Hydrate before, bring a towel, and rest in child's pose whenever the room gets loud.

Yin

Slow right down

Yin is floor-based, prop-heavy and quiet. Poses are held for minutes while the room stays dim. Runners, desk workers and bad sleepers tend to become regulars.

Teacher training

Learn to teach

The training programme runs over several months — anatomy, sequencing, philosophy, and teaching real classes with feedback before you graduate. Cohorts stay small.
