01 — Services

Four trades, one standard: tell the truth about the equipment.

a.

Furnace installation & repair

High-efficiency gas furnaces, sized to the house — never oversold, never undersized. We diagnose honestly: when a repair is smarter than a replacement, you'll hear it from us, with the reasoning attached. No-heat calls get priority in winter, and every fall we remind our regulars that a tune-up now beats a breakdown in January.

b.

AC installation & repair

Central air conditioning installed right the first time: correct sizing, sealed ducts, balanced airflow, a thermostat you'll actually understand. Repairs cover refrigerant, electrical, and airflow — and we check the simple causes first (filter, thermostat setting, debris around the outdoor unit) before selling you anything.

c.

Heat pumps

One system for year-round comfort. Cold-climate heat pumps keep heating far below freezing, and a dual-fuel setup lets your existing furnace take over on the coldest nights — automatically, at whatever temperature makes the math work. Lower energy use without the drama.

d.

Energy efficiency

Assessments that look at the whole picture — equipment, ductwork, controls, the house itself — then rank upgrades by what actually pays back. Aging-system replacement, airflow fixes, better controls: in that order of honesty, not in order of invoice size.

07 — No-heat emergency

Furnace died at −25°C? That's an emergency.

In an Ottawa winter, no heat is urgent. Tell us it's a no-heat call and we prioritize it — walking you through safe first checks by phone (thermostat, breaker, filter), then getting a technician out fast. Homes and small businesses alike.

08 — FAQ

Asked often.

How often should my furnace be serviced?

Once a year, before heating season. A fall tune-up catches worn parts, keeps efficiency up, and is the single best way to avoid a no-heat call in January.

How do I know it's time to replace the furnace?

Age plus repair frequency. If the unit is 15+ years old, needs frequent repairs, your bills keep climbing, or it's getting noisy — replacement usually beats another repair.

Can a heat pump handle an Ottawa winter?

Yes — with the right model. Cold-climate heat pumps work far below freezing. On the coldest nights, a dual-fuel setup lets your furnace take over.

My AC isn't cooling — what should I check first?

Filter, thermostat, outdoor unit. A clogged filter, a wrong thermostat setting, or debris around the outdoor condenser cause most "no cooling" calls. If those check out, call us.

Do you offer free estimates?

Call to ask about free estimates. We always inspect before we quote — no price is ever invented over the phone.
