A — Slow by design
We hold poses long enough to feel boring. That is the point.
Most classes rush you through shapes. We do the opposite: fewer postures, longer holds, breath as the metronome. Your nervous system gets the message before your muscles give up. People tell us the hour feels like twenty minutes and also like a full night of sleep. Both can be true.
Arrive ten minutes early. The first five minutes of class are just breathing, and they are not optional.
B — Props, not pressure
Blocks, straps, bolsters. No shame in any of them.
The studio keeps a wall of props and a simple rule: use whatever makes the pose yours. A block under your hand in triangle pose is not a lesser triangle — it is a longer spine. Teachers demo the prop version first, the fancy version never.
If an adjustment does not feel right, say so. The best adjustment is the one you ask for.
C — Your first visit
New here? Start with a single drop-in.
No membership pitch at the door, no intro package hard sell. Book one Hatha Foundations class, wear anything you can move in, drink some water beforehand. Tell the teacher it is your first class — they will keep an eye on you without making it weird.
Single class is $22 (sample). If you come back, the 10-class pack at $180 (sample) is the usual next step.
